Jobs in the New Year

The start of a new year is often the time that people re-evaluate their careers and think about making a change. However, not everyone knows where to start. On this show I’ll be joined by Kate James career coach, business coach and mindfulness speaker. Kate is a life and business coach who helps people navigate career change. Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sydney (Registrar) Professor Tyrone Carlin  will also join me to discuss the job market in the New Year. He’ll use his knowledge of the tertiary education sector to discuss the difficulties graduates face finding work, the best courses for employability and other career issues uni leavers may face.

January is often the time we reflect on our careers and make a decision about whether or not we want to change jobs. In fact, last January research from Indeed found that half of all working Australians consider changing jobs at the start of the year.

But finding a new job can have its challenges, especially if there’s increased competition. So what can you do? Well, making yourself stand out in the interview is hugely important. My second guest is a body language and speech expert, and executive coach, Michael Kelly. If there’s someone that can help you shine, it’s him.

AND our tech bloke Tim Stackpool joins us again.
